For me it has been the best decision I have made
I came to Battersea Place attracted to it being a retirement village but with independent living, having care available as needed at a later stage. I felt it took away any pressures my family might have and stop them worrying about me. I was able to come with my dog, and with Battersea Park just over the road, it has been easy for me to go for walks with her. Grove Place is so welcoming and full of warmth. When you walk into the reception area in the morning, the concierge is always there to greet you. The friendliness of the staff shows you that you are wanted and important. If you could bottle whatever it is that Grove Place has, you would make a fortune. I would seriously advise people move here while they are still young enough to enjoy everything that is on offer. It might seem like a difficult task selling up and packing up all your belongings before moving, but it really is worth it.Linda and Alan Aldred

It’s like a mini Hampton Court Palace
I tell my friends it’s so lovely – everyone is so friendly and relaxed. With the stunning Elizabethan manor house steeped in history – it’s like a mini Hampton Court Palace and impressive drive with 27 acres of gardens. I just love the social time with activities, craft, bridge, croquet, mini golf, boules, skittles, film shows, outings, and wonderful themed events, plus the choir and art classes and a well-stocked library. The entire team here at Grove Place are all so friendly and cheerful and ready to have a chat. You know your family can relax in the knowledge that you would be looked after. The Manor House Restaurant is simply wonderful. Every meal is beautifully presented, at very reasonable prices, and everything is put on a monthly bill so there is no need to carry any money (it is a bit like being on a cruise ship)!Linda Rush
