Burn’s Night Dinner

Led by a resident, our annual Burn’s Night Dinner is a unique spectacle centred on a festive supper (celebrating Scottish poet Robert Burns, featuring haggis, whisky, bagpipes, and recitations of his work, especially the poignant “Address to the Haggis,” followed by speeches, toasts (like “Toast to the Lassies”), and dancing (ceilidh).

Skittles at The Ship Inn

Enjoy an evening of skittles, fun, and laughter all served with basket meals in the beautifully restored surroundings, with original beams and long forgotten inglenook fireplaces.

The ‘Little Grey Cells’ Quiz

The ‘little grey cells’ are certainly not rusting. The fourth Quiz was excitingly close. Maria and Julian set the questions so that it won’t always be the same team that wins. There’s a modest prize (plus bragging rights) for the winners.

A talk on ‘Imposter Syndrome’ by Isabel Murray

Isabel Murray will present a fascinating talk on the feelings of ‘Imposter Syndrome’. It will be a unique insight into the phenomenon and all proceeds from the talk will be donated to the charity ‘An African Dream‘ – a charity which exists to educate, equip and transform the community of East Kasese.
