Since the first lockdown, the amount of families requiring support has more than doubled. At Grove Place, our community in Hampshire, residents Tricia and Neville organised a food bank collection to support the local school in Nursling. Residents and staff generously donated non-perishable food such as pasta, cereals, lunchbox cakes, tins of soup, baked beans and other items. Other residents have kindly donated funds to help the school buy fresh healthy fruits and vegetables.
Richard Powell, General Manager at Grove Place, comments: “Having grown up in the local area, I was touched by the generosity of residents and staff in their desire to give back to the community. We are delighted to play a small part in helping local families in these challenging times.”
