We are incredibly proud to celebrate the success and wholehearted generosity of our residents and team in supporting Macmillan Cancer Support this year.
Our vibrant community at Battersea Place, overlooking the splendour of Battersea Park, raised an impressive £271.40 during our heart-warming coffee morning shared between The Albert Suites and the village. This wonderful effort was beautifully complemented by our residents at Grove Place in Southampton, who demonstrated immense commitment to this vital cause by raising a magnificent £700. Bringing the LifeCare Residences’ total for 2025 to just short of £1,000.
Extending Care Beyond Our Residences
The funds raised by the LifeCare Residences communities are directed towards Macmillan’s crucial mission: ensuring no one faces cancer alone.
These generous donations help to finance the delivery of specialist healthcare and practical support across the UK. This includes:
- Macmillan Nurses: Funding thousands of expert Macmillan Nurses and other vital healthcare professionals who provide invaluable medical, practical, and emotional support to individuals living with cancer and their families. This bespoke care echoes the high level of personal attention we champion at our own luxury care home, The Albert Suites.
- Financial Assistance: Offering critical financial grants to help people with cancer manage the unexpected costs of the illness, such as energy bills, travel to hospital appointments, and mobility aids.
- Comprehensive Information: Providing trusted, up-to-date information and support through telephone lines, online communities, and local support centres, helping people navigate their diagnosis and treatment journey with confidence.
