While the new frames protect our harvest from the local deer, a different kind of visitor is being warmly welcomed to the meadows of Grove Place. We are delighted to announce the arrival of our very own honeybees, marking an exciting new chapter in our village’s ecological journey.

The introduction of these fascinating creatures has been a true labour of love, led by one of our dedicated gardeners, Sean. Demonstrating the same passion for excellence that defines our service, Sean has recently completed a comprehensive beekeeping course, ensuring that our new winged residents receive the highest standard of care.

Before the bees’ arrival, Sean spent weeks meticulously preparing the area – refreshing the sheltered spot on the grounds that offers the perfect balance of sunlight, shelter, and privacy. These hives will not only play a vital role in pollinating our gardens and the surrounding Southampton countryside but will also provide a captivating point of interest for our residents.

General Manager, Nicolae Seulean, reflects on this addition to the community:

“At Grove Place, we strive to create a lifestyle that is in harmony with the stunning natural environment we are privileged to inhabit. Seeing Sean’s dedication to mastering the art of beekeeping has been wonderful. These bees represent our commitment to sustainability and the vibrancy of our grounds. We look forward to the gentle hum of the hives and, of course, the prospect of our very own Grove Place honey in the seasons to come.”

As the bees settle into their new home, they join a community dedicated to growth, well-being, and the quiet joy of the English countryside.
